It’s long been a topic of discussion that many casinos do not have windows, apparently so that their players would not notice the passing of time as they sit at the tables or pull the reels on the slot machines.

But finding casinos without windows was also a difficult task for online gamblers as well. With so many people tied into PC’s, all of the major online casino game suppliers built their games to run on Windows. And that left Apple computer fans on the outside looking in.

Things have changed though. The leading casinos have now expanded their game offerings. Besides the Windows-based downloadable programs, many offer Flash or Java versions as well.
With both Java and Flash being Mac-friendly platforms, a whole new world of computer users can now make their way into the virtual walls of an online casino and try their luck at the tables. check here

In fact, Linux users can now join in the games at many of the online casinos and several of the online poker rooms as well.

One thing to point out is that the casinos have not, for the most part, translated all of their games into Flash. What they have done instead is chose the core games, and translated those. So, if an online casino offers 100 different slot machines to their customers that download the Windows version to their computers, they might instead offer 40 different slots in Flash format.

And while it sounds as though a lot of the games might be missing from the line up, the most popular games will surely have made the transition.

So, if you are a Mac owner, or one of the proud few who run Linux, when you visit an online casino skip right past all of the blinking download buttons. Those aren’t meant for you. Instead, look for the “Instant Play” or “Flash Casino” buttons on the website. That will give you access to a host of games that you can play from a Mac!
